Colour says what happened. Brightness says how much. The evening finds its own two hands without anyone pointing at them.
Why this one
A results card answers how much. This answers out of what, and it is the thing a player almost never sees about his own session: he folded 227 of 300 hands, and two squares carry more money than the evening did.
There is nothing modelled on it. Every square is an exact count — whether he put money in before the flop, and what the hand came to. The ring is drawn by the arithmetic, not by an opinion about which hand was interesting.
The same picture works at any scale: one session, one week, a whole month of a player’s history. The squares get smaller and the two that matter stay visible.
